The BA backflow preventer is a verifiable mechanical device designed to prevent contamination of wholesome water by either back siphonage, due to a reduced or negative pressure in the mains water supply, or system back pressure from the water installation within the premises. Consisting of an arrangement of water fittings the device has three pressure zones having different obdurators and a dump valve.
